Reduce Ammonia Emissions

In the JHacidificationNH4+ system, pig or cattle slurry is acidified by adding sulfuric acid (H2SO4) to the slurry. The sulfuric acid reduces the pH and changes the chemical balance between ammonia (NH3) and ammonium (NH4+) towards NH4+, which does not evaporate.

3-step reduction

In the JHacidificationNH4system we stop the evaporation of ammonia directly at the source – the animal!
The evaporation of ammonia is reduced both from

  1. the stable
    2. during slurry storage
    3. during application of slurry to fields

Tests show a reduction on cattle farms with up to 50 % and on pigs farm up to 64 %

The system is patented.
