Reduce Ammonia Emissions from your Lagoons
In the JHacidificationNH4+ system for lagoons, pig or cattle slurry is acidified by adding sulfuric acid (H2SO4) to the slurry in a process tank between the stable and the lagoon. The sulfuric acid reduces the pH and changes the chemical balance between ammonia (NH3) and ammonium (NH4+) towards NH4+, which does not evaporate.
2-step reduction
In the JHacidificationNH4+ system for lagoons we stop the evaporation of ammonia in the moment that slurry leaves the housing system.
The evaporation of ammonia is reduced both
- during slurry storage
2. during application of slurry to fields
