Reduce Ammonia Emissions from your Lagoons

In the JHacidificationNH4+ system for lagoons, pig or cattle slurry is acidified by adding sulfuric acid (H2SO4) to the slurry in a process tank between the stable and the lagoon. The sulfuric acid reduces the pH and changes the chemical balance between ammonia (NH3) and ammonium (NH4+) towards NH4+, which does not evaporate.

2-step reduction

In the JHacidificationNH4system for lagoons we stop the evaporation of ammonia in the moment that slurry leaves the housing system.

The evaporation of ammonia is reduced both

  1. during slurry storage
    2. during application of slurry to fields
